The 1953 film "Calamity Jane" starring Doris Day and Howard Keel was not shot in South Dakota, but heavily features a fictitious "Deadwood" and the "Black Hills."
This great song, "Take Me Back to the Black Hills of Dakota," is one of the showstoppers.
