Black Hills Film Festival underway

The First Annual Black Hills Film Festival is underway with seminars by successful filmmakers and educational workshop sessions filling most of Friday's activities. Film viewing continues today through Sunday in Hill City and at Crazy Horse Memorial along with special showings of "North By Northwest" at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
Equipment demonstrations filled the Hill City High School lobby with high-tech gear and instructional workshops on Friday. Here festival co-organizer Rick VanNess gives a tour of the Crow Ridge Productions grip truck.

Labyrinth Films of Aberdeen had their RED camera available for demonstrations and Spectrum Films of Sioux Falls taught lighting techniques.
